Site Vision
7 March o8
I hope to follow every documented line descending from Thomas Blodgett of Haughley and Reverend Henry Smith of Wethersfield. I have found plenty of information online, but it is spread further than the descendants are. A major undertaking, to say the least, and the first hurdle is to find a suitable search format/linking method to implement. One that will enable visitors to find their ancestors easily and then gather whatever supporting documentation I have for their own use, such as Census Records and Histories. I have thought about a visual system employing one of the already available online mapping programs, such as Google's GoogleMap and MicroSoft's Live Maps offerings, with icons for the location each ancestor is recorded as residing in. Clicking an Icon would bring up a text bubble with a link to the appropriate page for the individual . From that page a link, perhaps using the first instance the name is used, would go to an index of files pertaining to that individual. Files that are freely available online, such as via Google's Book Search or New Hampshire's Historical documents, would link directly to those documents. Files which I have and are not available online will either have a link to my files or to my email to send a request to. This may mean I will reformat the links to the left, with each generation from the Ancestor broken out into its own page. Right now some pages have 2 generations displayed together. If you have found this page and have any information to share, contact me via the "Contact Us" page or email SeerBlue at gmail.com or dharmazard at hotmail.com (replace the at with@), I will add your line to the site and credit you as the originator of that information.
